A landscaped riverside park along the Wang Chhu, established in 2008 to mark the centenary of Bhutan's monarchy and the coronation of the fifth king. The park has walking paths, a small amphitheatre, and green lawns used by locals for picnics and weekend strolls. It's a good place to watch the daily rhythm of Thimphu life — families out in the evenings, children playing, elderly residents taking their walks. More interesting for people-watching than for formal sightseeing.
