Thimphu has a range of small bars and cafes, primarily centred around the main town square area and the Norzin Lam shopping street. OM bar (Jojos Building, Changlam) is the main expat gathering point, particularly busy on Friday and Saturday evenings. The Zone, above the Changlimithang stadium, draws a mix of expats and locals for burgers, pizzas, and major sporting events. The Art Cafe, a block west of the traffic circle, serves sandwiches, pastries, and has a small courtyard.
