The old town is compact and largely walkable — Kaiyuan Temple, the Qingjing Mosque, Chengtian Temple, and Zhongshan Road are all within a 20-minute walk of each other. Taxis are cheap and reliable for the sites outside the pedestrian core (the Maritime Museum, Lingshan Cemetery, Luoyang Bridge). The city has shared bicycles available through mobile apps. Traffic in the old town can be congested; walking is often faster than driving the short distances between heritage sites.
