The Fujian Tulou clusters divide broadly between Yongding and Nanjing counties, each with different character. Yongding's Hongkeng Folk Village has the densest concentration, the most famous individual buildings, and the most visitor infrastructure. Nanjing's Tianluokeng cluster has the most photogenic arrangement. Both warrant visits, but a single overnight stay in either county transforms the experience from a sightseeing exercise into something genuinely memorable.
