This tomb is traditionally identified as the burial place of Du Fu, the great Tang dynasty poet whose work is still read across China. The attribution is debated, but the site has long been treated as a place of memory for one of Chinese literature's central figures.
It lies east of Luoyang, in the wider historical landscape around Erlitou and the Luo River plain. It is mainly for travellers with a strong interest in Tang history or Chinese poetry.
