Hongjitang Museum tells the story of one of Jinan's old traditional Chinese medicine firms, inside a former Hongjitang pharmaceutical building. The exhibits are small, but they give useful context on herbal medicine, local pharmacy culture, and the commercial history of the old city.
The building itself is part of the appeal. It was moved several metres in 2008 to save it from demolition, a rare bit of preservation in a fast-changing part of Jinan.
