Jinan's bar scene is spread between the university district near Shandong University, where student bars keep prices low and crowds young, and the more polished establishments in the Lixia and Jinan CBD districts. The city has a strong tea culture and several good traditional teahouses near the spring parks where you can sit with a pot of Shandong oolong and watch the spring water flow past. Tsingtao (Qingdao) beer, produced in the province, is everywhere and reliably fresh.
