Vemulawada is purely a pilgrimage town and the food scene reflects that entirely. There are no restaurants in any conventional sense — instead, the temple runs a free meal programme (annadanam) for all devotees, and the streets around the complex are lined with small vendors selling prasadam sweets, fruit, and simple South Indian snacks. For a pilgrim town, this is more than adequate. Come hungry and expect to eat simply.
