Vemulawada is 150km northeast of Hyderabad and 36km from Karimnagar, the nearest large town. Most visitors arrive by bus.
From Hyderabad: TSRTC operates frequent buses from Jubilee Bus Station (Musheerabad) direct to Vemulawada. Journey time is around three to four hours depending on traffic. Buses are more numerous and faster from Karimnagar, so the Hyderabad–Karimnagar express followed by a local bus is often the most reliable option.
From Karimnagar: Regular TSRTC buses and shared autos run the 36km to Vemulawada, taking around 45 minutes. Karimnagar is the natural base for a day trip.
By rail: There is no railway station at Vemulawada. The nearest stations are Karimnagar (on the Kazipet–Balharshah line) and Peddapalli (on the Hyderabad–Kazipet main line). From either station, take a bus or auto to Vemulawada.
