Getting Around

Vemulawada is a small town and the pilgrimage complex — temple, tank, and ghats — is within easy walking distance of the bus stand. Most visitors arrive, walk to the temple, circle the tank, take their darshan, eat, and leave all on foot. You will not need transport within the town for a standard visit.

Auto-rickshaws are available for reaching pilgrim accommodation on the outskirts or for getting back to the bus stand with luggage. During Shivaratri, the streets closest to the temple are closed to vehicles and walking is the only option.
