A reservoir on the Rangmati River north of the city, built in the 1930s by Maharaja Ranjitsinhji to supply Jamnagar with water. The dam and its surrounding park are a popular weekend retreat for Jamnagaris, with paths along the embankment, family picnic spots, and decent views from the high ground above.
In winter the reservoir attracts birds: gulls, terns, ducks, and the inevitable flamingos that drift across this whole coast. Worth combining with a visit to the Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary further east.
