Orchha is walkable if you are comfortable with heat and uneven lanes. The fort, main temples, market, riverfront, and chhatris are close enough to link on foot.
Hire an auto-rickshaw if you want to include Lakshmi Narayan Temple, the nature reserve, or outlying viewpoints without losing time. Bicycles are pleasant in the cool season.
