Bandra is Mumbai's most fashionable neighbourhood — the place where the city's film industry, creative class, and affluent young professionals converge. Hill Road and Linking Road are the main shopping arteries, with a mix of Indian brands, casual fashion, and independent stores. The lanes around Chapel Road and St. Andrews Road are pleasant for a walk, lined with old bungalows behind bougainvillea walls.
The Bandra Fort at Castella de Aguada sits on the seafront and offers excellent views at sunset across the bay to the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The Bandstand promenade below the fort is a popular evening walk. The neighbourhood has the best concentration of restaurants and cafes outside of South Mumbai — if you're after a varied dinner scene, this is where to head.
