Ambazari Lake is the largest of Nagpur's reservoirs and the city's most pleasant public park. The area around the lake has been landscaped with gardens, lawns, and walking paths, making it popular with families in the evenings and with joggers in the mornings. Rowboats are available for hire on the lake.
The nearby Ambazari Garden has well-maintained flower beds and a children's play area. The lake attracts migratory birds in winter, particularly waterfowl. The western end of the lake, near the dam, is the best vantage point for the sunset over the water. Access is easy by auto-rickshaw from the city centre.
