Dragon Palace Temple in Kamptee is one of the Nagpur area's most distinctive Buddhist sights, with a bright white modern structure set in ordered gardens. The temple was built as a symbol of Indo-Japanese Buddhist ties, and its clean lines contrast strongly with the older monuments in central Nagpur.
The main hall is calm and uncluttered, centred on a Buddha image rather than heavy decoration. It is best visited as a half-day detour from Nagpur, especially for travellers also interested in Deekshabhoomi and the region's Ambedkarite Buddhist history.
