Raman Science Centre

Named for C.V. Raman, the Nobel Prize-winning physicist and the only Indian to win the prize in a natural science, the Raman Science Centre is an interactive science museum affiliated with Mumbai's Nehru Science Centre. The exhibits cover physics, astronomy, geology, and natural history, with hands-on demonstrations designed to engage visitors of all ages. The attached Raman Planetarium runs regular shows on the night sky and space exploration.

The centre is particularly popular with school groups and families. The outdoor science park contains large-scale models of scientific instruments. Admission is modest; planetarium shows run several times a day. Worth a visit if you are travelling with children or have a morning free between trains.
