A Pune institution on Fergusson College Road since 1950. Pure-vegetarian, South Indian and Maharashtrian, always full, and absurdly cheap for the quality. The masala dosa, idli sambar, sabudana vada, and SPDP (sev potato dahi puri) are the staples; the filter coffee is excellent.
There is no booking and the queues at weekends can be intimidating, but they move fast. The dining room is large, clean, and unchanged in decades. Open all day -- breakfast, lunch, and through to late evening.
