Kulcha Land on Lawrence Road is widely considered to make the best amritsari kulcha in the city — which is saying something, given how seriously Amritsar takes its stuffed flatbreads. The kulchas are cooked in a traditional tandoor, pulled out blistered and smoky, and served with a pool of chickpea curry, raw onion, and a knob of butter large enough to cause concern.
The place is small, cash only, and closes when the kulchas run out — which typically happens well before noon. The queue starts forming before opening. Show up early, eat fast, and order more than you think you need.
