Gallops, inside the Lalgarh Palace complex, is the best-regarded restaurant in Bikaner. The setting is colonial-era grandeur — high ceilings, marble floors, and photographs of maharajas on horseback. The menu covers Rajasthani classics: dal baati churma, ker sangri (local desert beans and berries), and laal maas (a fierce red mutton curry).
It is pricier than local restaurants by a significant margin, but the food is reliably good and the atmosphere worth experiencing at least once. Non-residents can dine here. Book ahead during festival season.
