Pushkar is a small town but one of the most sacred in India, and its compact geography means everything is walkable. The lake, the ghats, the Brahma temple, and the market bazaar are all within easy reach of one another. The atmosphere — vegetarian, alcohol-free, genuinely devout — is unlike anywhere else in Rajasthan.
