The Vir Bahadur Singh Planetarium is one of the few public planetariums in Uttar Pradesh and a popular destination for school groups and curious visitors from across the region. The shows cover standard astronomy topics — the solar system, constellations, space exploration — and are presented in Hindi, which limits their usefulness for most foreign visitors, but the star projection dome itself is impressive.
The planetarium is named after Vir Bahadur Singh, a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. It sits in a reasonably green setting and is usually quiet on weekdays. If you happen to be travelling with children, or if you have an afternoon to fill, it makes a reasonable stop.
