Kanpur Central is one of north India's busiest railway stations, with frequent trains to Delhi, Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Varanasi. This is the easiest way to arrive.
The city is also on the main road between Delhi and Kolkata. Lucknow is roughly 90 km away by expressway, so many travellers fly into Lucknow and continue by road or train. Kanpur's own airport has a smaller and less reliable flight network.
