Mrinmoyee Temple is one of Bishnupur's older sacred sites, standing close to the better-known terracotta temples around Radhashyam. The present building is plain, but the shrine matters because it houses the town's ancient image of Mrinmoyee, a form of Durga tied closely to Bishnupur's royal and festival traditions.
It is a quick stop rather than a showpiece. Come here after the major Malla temples, when the contrast between sculpted brick architecture and living worship makes more sense.
