There is no conventional tourist sight in Depok, but a few stops are worth a half-day if you are already on the commuter line. The leafy campus of the University of Indonesia with its central lake is the most pleasant green space south of Jakarta. The Panus Bridge in the older part of town is a small reminder of the colonial-era road between Batavia and Bogor. Otherwise, treat Depok as a place to drink coffee, eat well, and watch students.
