Pol-e Shahrestan is one of the oldest surviving bridges in Iran. The visible structure was renovated in the 11th century, but the foundations are older, tying it to the pre-Safavid city east of central Isfahan.
It is plainer and farther from the centre than Khaju Bridge or Si-o-Se Pol, which keeps visitor numbers low. Go if you are interested in Isfahan's deeper urban history, or if you want to see how the city's bridge tradition predates its Safavid showpieces.
