The city's main contemporary art museum, in a restored 1930s building at the edge of Wadi Nisnas. The collection focuses on Israeli and international contemporary art, with a programme of temporary exhibitions that tend to be more politically engaged than the equivalent in Tel Aviv.
Allow about ninety minutes. The museum café opens onto a small courtyard and is one of the better lunch options in the neighbourhood.
