The Tomb of the Virgin, beside Gethsemane at the foot of the Mount of Olives, is traditionally identified as the burial place of Mary. A long stairway descends into a dim stone crypt, passing side chapels and icons before reaching the shrine below.
It is a short but atmospheric stop, best combined with the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations, and a walk down from the Mount of Olives viewpoints.
