A short drive northeast of Netanya, in Kibbutz Bahan, Utopia is a covered tropical garden built around one of the largest orchid collections in the Middle East. Inside the climate-controlled glasshouses are several hundred species of orchid, plus carnivorous plants, tropical birds, and a small koi pond.
It is more entertainment than serious botanical garden — there's a music-and-light show in one of the greenhouses every hour — but kids enjoy it and it makes a reasonable rainy-day stop. Open daily; tickets are on the higher side for a small park.
