Man'yo Kikka-en is Echizen's chrysanthemum exhibition hall, best known for the flower dolls shown during the Kikuningyo Festival in Takefu Central Park. The displays show several traditional ways of training chrysanthemums, from cascading forms to plants branched into carefully balanced directions.
It is a modest stop, but a good one if you are already visiting Echizen for its craft villages and seasonal displays. The appeal is in the close look at a very Japanese kind of flower-growing skill.
