Yanagi Falls is a quiet waterfall area in the hills east of central Echizen. The best-known cascade is Nuno Fall, named for its thin, cloth-like flow, and the surrounding paths make the area a good short nature stop for hikers.
The falls are tied to local stories about the swordsman Sasaki Kojiro, but the main reason to come is the forest setting and the walk between the small cascades.
