The Ruins of Komaru Castle preserve foundations, a gate remnant, and roof tiles from a short-lived castle built in the late 1500s by Sassa Narimasa, a follower of Oda Nobunaga. The site is modest, but it adds useful Sengoku-period context to Echizen's craft and temple stops.
