Hokai-in is a Buddhist temple on the Chūgoku 33 Kannon pilgrimage route, a short distance from Handayama Botanical Garden. It is a modest stop, but useful if you are tracing Okayama's quieter temple and garden sights north of the centre.
Pair it with Handayama Botanical Garden rather than making a separate trip across the city just for the temple.
