The Manekineko Art Museum is devoted to Japan's beckoning lucky cats, the familiar figures seen in shops and restaurants across the country. It is a small, specialised museum, but the subject is cheerful and very Japanese.
Come if you like folk art, odd collections, or want a light stop outside Okayama's central sights.
