Tsuwano Castle is gone, but its stone walls still hold the ridge above town. The ruins sit roughly 200 metres above the valley, reached by a chairlift and a short walk through the woods.
The reward is the view: Tsuwano's red roofs and fields laid out below, with mountains closing in on both sides. On misty mornings the walls can seem to float above the town, which is why this is the one climb you should not skip.
