Kurusu no Umi is a small overlook with a good trick: from above, the sea channels below form a cross in the rock. Local signs play this into a wish-making spot, helped by the Japanese character for a wish coming true.
It is close enough to Umagase to pair the two on the same coastal loop. The view is quick rather than deep, but it gives Cape Hyuga a lighter, more playful stop between the cliff walks.
