Twist has been on the corniche for over a decade and is the most reliable stand-alone bar in Aqaba — most of the city's other drinking is inside the hotels. The setup is straightforward: a covered outdoor terrace facing the gulf, a long bar inside, live music or a DJ several nights a week, and a menu of grills, salads, and pizzas. Cocktails are competently made; the wine list is short but adequate.
The crowd is a mix of expats from the resort hotels, off-duty dive instructors, and the more affluent local young. Open from afternoon until late, every day; closes earlier during Ramadan. No dress code but most diners turn up presentable.
