Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre is the wildlife stop most visitors pass on the way to Kuang Si Falls, and it deserves more than a glance. The sanctuary cares for Asiatic black bears rescued from bile farms and the illegal wildlife trade, with shaded enclosures just inside the falls area.
The centre is not a petting zoo and should not be treated like one. Watch the bears from the paths, read the displays, and consider a donation if the work speaks to you. It adds a serious conservation story to a day that many travellers otherwise remember only for turquoise pools and swimming.
