Byblos Sur Mer is one of the most atmospheric bars on the harbour front, a terrace venue built on the ancient sea wall with views across the water. The crowd is cosmopolitan — a mix of Beirut professionals on a weekend escape, Lebanese expats visiting for the summer, and international travellers. The bar is busiest from early evening onward, when the heat has dropped and the light on the harbour turns golden.
Cocktails lean toward Mediterranean ingredients — arak-based drinks, local citrus, regional spirits — alongside the standard international bar menu. The kitchen serves light food through the evening. In summer, tables on the sea wall are the most sought after; arrive by 7pm to secure one without a wait. The bar stays open late on weekends, when the harbour area becomes the most animated spot in town.
