Orchid Garden

Free Lake Gardens garden displaying over 800 orchid varieties, including rare Malaysian native species

A small but lovingly tended garden of around 800 orchid species set on a terraced hillside within the Lake Gardens. The collection mixes wild Malaysian orchids with cultivated hybrids from across Southeast Asia, displayed in greenhouses, on tree trunks, and in long pergolas. The neighbouring Hibiscus Garden showcases the national flower, the bunga raya, in dozens of colour varieties.

Free admission on weekdays, a token charge on weekends. A pleasant 30 minutes of wandering, best combined with the adjacent KL Bird Park and Butterfly Park. Open 9 am to 6 pm.
