Phulbari Ridge Walk

A quieter alternative to Sarangkot — same views, fewer people

A half-day ridge walk along the wooded hills above the north shore of Phewa Lake, with mountain views that rival Sarangkot's but a fraction of the visitors. The walk starts at the village of Phulbari, climbs gently along the ridge for two to three hours, and descends to Naudanda on the Baglung Highway.

Local taxis can drop you at the trailhead and pick you up at the far end; the walk is along a well-marked but never crowded path, with small tea houses where you can buy a glass of chiya (sweet milk tea) and a packet of biscuits. Take water and a hat; the ridge is exposed in places.
