A 1.8-kilometre cable strung between two ridges above Pokhara, dropping 600 metres and reaching speeds of 120 kilometres an hour — by several measurements, the longest, steepest and fastest commercial zip-line on earth. The launch is near the Sarangkot road; the landing is in the valley below.
The whole experience — minibus up, harness, run — takes about an hour, including filling out the paperwork. A run costs around 8,000 NPR (about US$60); single-day combinations with paragliding and bungee jumping are available. Open year-round but cancelled in heavy weather; not for the truly nervous, but the rig is engineered by a Swiss firm and the safety record is good.
