Rajoa

Azad Kashmir village tied to Mirpur's diaspora networks and the Baba Badar Shah shrine.

Rajoa is a small village in Dadyal tehsil, within Mirpur District of Azad Kashmir. It is not a conventional travel stop, and most visitors will only come with family connections, local business, or a specific interest in the villages that feed Mirpur's enormous overseas diaspora.

The village sits in the same cultural world as Mirpur: Pahari-Pothwari speech, strong kinship networks, and deep ties to the United Kingdom, especially the West Midlands. Rajoa is also associated with the shrine of Baba Badar Shah, locally known as Chamba Darbar, which gives the village a point of pilgrimage as well as family memory.

For travellers without local contacts, Rajoa is best understood as context rather than a standalone destination. Visit with someone from the area if you can, and combine it with Mirpur, Mangla Lake, or the road toward Dadyal.
