The Sunday Bazaar in H-9 is a long-running open-air weekly market that fills a few hectares of empty lot every Sunday morning. Hundreds of stalls sell second-hand clothes (much of it imported in bales from Europe and the Gulf), shoes, household goods, kitchen equipment, books, fresh fruit and vegetables.
Cash only, bargaining expected. Go early — by midday in summer it is hot and the best second-hand stock has been picked over. A fascinating market and one of the most genuinely local experiences in the capital.
