Day Trips

Most day trips from Boracay are by boat. The standard island-hopping run takes in Crocodile Island (good snorkelling on a healthy reef), Magic Island (cliff-jumping), the Bat Caves at Yapak, and a stop at quiet Puka Beach in the north — book a paraw outrigger from White Beach, expect a barbecue lunch, and bring sunscreen. Ariel's Point half an hour by boat across the channel on Panay is a popular cliff-jumping and snorkelling spot with an all-inclusive lunch.

For a longer escape, the ferry from Caticlan on the mainland gives you access to the rest of Aklan and Antique provinces — the Bugang River for tubing, the Nabaoy River for swimming, and inland Malay for a glimpse of life away from the beach.
