Magsaysay Drive (formerly Magsaysay Street) was historically the main bar strip — it served the US naval base and had a reputation for a raucous scene. Post-closure it has calmed considerably but bars remain. The Subic Bay Freeport Zone has more sedate options, including hotel bars with bay views. Pier One on the waterfront is the most popular evening spot with a live music programme.
