Horno

The Horno is a Spanish-era brick kiln site in Tuguegarao. Bricks fired in ovens like this were used in churches and other colonial buildings, including landmarks such as Tuguegarao Cathedral and San Jacinto Church.

The site is small, but it helps explain the material history behind the city's older architecture. It is best visited as part of a short heritage walk rather than as a stand-alone excursion.
