Parisa is a Persian restaurant set inside one of the old-style Souq Waqif houses, with carved wooden screens, lanterns, and a courtyard that cools pleasantly in the evening. The food is Iranian: slow-cooked lamb stews (khoresht), grilled kebabs, and saffron rice in various forms. The lamb fesenjan — walnut and pomegranate sauce — is rich and worth ordering.
The setting is one of the best in the souq and it fills up fast on Thursday and Friday evenings. Book or arrive early. Prices are mid-range by Doha standards; cheaper than the hotel alternatives and the setting is considerably better.
