The Heritage Library holds a major Qatar and Middle East collection, including antique maps, manuscripts, photographs and books in Arabic and other languages. It is more specialised than most Doha sights, but rewarding if old maps, regional history or Islamic manuscripts are your thing.
Public tours give the collection some shape, so check current access before making the trip out from central Doha.
