Jeoksangsan is the other mountain name to know around Muju. Its slopes hold Anguksa Temple, traces of Jeoksangsanseong Fortress, and views over the surrounding county.
The mountain is a good choice when Deogyusan feels too big or too crowded. Roads and trails climb steeply, so weather matters, especially in winter.
