Muju Meoru Wine Cave uses a former hydroelectric tunnel as a cool cellar for wine made from local meoru, or wild grapes. The steady temperature makes the tunnel practical for aging wine and gives the visit a novelty that a normal tasting room would not have.
Visitors can walk into the cave, taste the local wine, and buy bottles to take away. It is a light, easy stop rather than a major sight, but it fits well with a wider Muju itinerary.
